Hydrotherapy
Canine hydrotherapy uses the properties of warm water to safely support your dog through non weight bearing exercises and movements. Our state of the art treadmill allows our therapist to warm the water to 32 degrees Celsius which helps muscles to relax, loosen joints while aiding blood circulation and relief to overworked muscle groups. Based on each client’s mobility, our therapist will use varying amounts of water to support your dog to enable movement on the treadmill. Our therapist can control the speed and incline of the treadmill, which in conjunction with the natural resistance offered by water enables the therapist to fine tune the appropriate speed, incline and water volume to safely support the re-education of the dog’s gait and speed up the recovery process. In older animals, hydrotherapy will enable your pet to undertake their daily walks in a supportive and controlled environment to maintain health and muscle mass.
